Fitness Director
Brenda began teaching 15 years ago as an apprehensive sub for a Spinning class. After a couple of anxiety induced classes she discovered that she loved teaching group exercise and sought other modalities to teach. She is a Certified Mad Dogg Spinning Instructor and has completed YogaFit’s Level 1 & 2, BodyArt Teacher Training and Exhale’s 40 hour Barre Certification Program.
Fae Kontje-Gibbs
Combining thirty-five years of experience as a structural body worker, acupuncturist, and yogini, Fae aims to help people be mindful of how the body works and how to work with it. She raised her children on the island and now enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, creating beautiful art and being involved with various community organizations.
Sian Williams
Sian has been teaching Yoga for over a decade. She received her 500 hour Teacher Training at Kripalu with Shiva Rea and has studied intensively with Yoga Masters Ana Forrest, Baron Baptiste, Jonny Kest, and Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa.
Vanessa Kent
Vanessa began teaching Kripalu Yoga eight years ago after receiving her 500 hour Professional Level Yoga Teacher Certification. Her practice allows her to listen to her needs throughout the day. Sometimes her energy calls for a run. Sometimes a nap beckons her. And at other times study calls to her. She feels that it’s important to tune in and honor what is most needed, not just for body but also for mind and spirit. Practice is an ever changing ongoing conversation for her.
Brenda Correa
Brenda has been in the fitness field for 40 years. Her love of movement began as a teen when she started dance lessons. She moved to the island in the mid ‘90’s with her husband and daughters and became a personal trainer at Fitness Firm. She is a certified Stott Pilates Instructor and also holds certificates in Total Barre and TRX.
Denise Guy
From a very young age Denise has been involved in various forms of movement and exercise including Ballet, Gymnastics and group exercise classes. She is trained in Water Aerobics, YMCA level 2 GYM, Les Mills BODYPUMP and Core conditioning and has been teaching for several years. Denise has traveled extensively and enjoys learning discovering new places and experiencing new cultures. She was born and raised in England and moved to the US five years ago. During the pandemic Denise, her husband and young son made the island their new home and are loving simple beach life.
